General Requirements
State Requirements
Resident Insurance Producers must satisfy the following continuing education requirements in order to renew their license: 24 hours every 2 years (Ethics – 3 hours)
Due Date
The last day of the Licensee’s birth month every 2 years based on odd/even birth year.

24 Hours every 2 years
Non-Resident License
Must meet their Home-State requirements
Multiple Lines Licensed Agents
Multiple Lines License Agents may take Major Lines courses in any license type held.
CE Exemptions
Nonresidents in good standing with their home state, Producers holding limited lines licenses where an exam is not required, Producers holding a limited or restricted license, Individuals who are 60 years old and were licensed prior to 07/01/2003, Individuals who have been actively licensed as a producer or broker for at least 15 consecutive years and who were licensed prior to 07/01/2003, Producers licensed in Arkansas less than a year upon renewal, Producers in their first full year of licensure following the year they made a change in residency or domicile to Arkansas, Third-party administrators who do not solicit business, Producers called to active duty in the U.S. military services.

Subject Area Requirements
Students may take an approved course in any line of authority.
Repeated Course Rules
Courses cannot be repeated within 2 years from the original course completion date.
Carryover Credits
Excess hours may be carried forward to the following license term.
Special Training Requirements
Annuity Training
Initial Training: A one-time 4-hour Insurance Approved training course is required for agents to be eligible to sell Annuities.
Long-Term Care Training
Initial Training: 8 hours must be taken in general Long-Term Care.
Ongoing Training: 4 Hours every two years.
Flood Training
Initial Training: A one-time 3-hour FEMA/National Flood Insurance Program approved training course is required for agents selling Flood Insurance.

Final Exam Requirements
Exam Rules
Online Final Exams are closed book (course materials are not available while the Final Exam is in progress). The final exam must be passed with a score of 70% or higher to receive CE credit. If the exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.
Proctor Requirements
Final Exams are closed-book and must be monitored by a disinterested 3rd party proctor.
American Insurance College Course Access
Students at the American Insurance College have unlimited access to all CE and Pre-Licensing courses.
Course Completion

The American Insurance College reports all Course completions immediatey. Our technology allows us to start reporting your results most normally within five minutes of your course completion.
Certificates of Completion
Certificates of Completion are issued immediately upon the completion of your course.
Reporting Fees
There is a state charge of $1.00 per credit hour.
