I can’t log in to my account.
Click “Log In.”
On the Log In page, click “Need to (re)set your password?”
On the password reset page, enter your email address in the provided field.
Check your email, find the password reset email from American Insurance College. Click the reset link found in that email and provide a new password.
Be sure to check your Junk folder to find the email.
I don’t know my UserID.
That’s okay! You can use your email address instead of a username.
I need to update my personal information.
If you need to change any of your personal information, give us a call.
Pre-Licensing Courses
Do I need to order a Study Manual?
Study Manuals are only required for Florida Pre-Licensing courses.
All 2-15, 2-14, and 2-40 students receive our own comprehensive, easy-to-read Study Manual when they purchase their course at no extra charge. This is a value of over $50! You can download the manual from the course home page.
All 2-20, 40-Hour 2-20 Conversion Course, and 20-44 are required to have access to the FAIA study manual.
If I have completed the Florida 4-40 or 6-20 course, do I need to take a state exam?
Students who have completed our Florida 4-40 or 6-20 courses are exempt from having to take the state exam. In a word, “NO”, you do not have to take the state exam.
How long do I have access to my course?
All American Insurance College course have unlimited access.
Who do I contact to discuss a question I have about my course?
Please call the school at: (866) 506-0139 or send a detailed email to: [email protected]. Your call or email will be routed to one of our licensed instructors.
How can I obtain a copy of my Certificate of Completion?
Navigate to your Dashboard. Find the section of courses called “Completed Courses.” Courses in that section have their available certificate on the far right of the screen. Click on the “Certificate” button to download your certificate.
How often does American Insurance College report course completions?
Course completions are uploaded same-day/24-hours.

- Scheduling to have your fingerprints digitally captured by IdentoGO the state’s approved vendor

How to Apply For a License
To apply for your Insurance License you will need to go to the Department of Financial Services’ (DFS) “My Profile” page.
If this is your first time applying for a license with the Department of Financial Services you will need to create a “My Profile”. You may create your “My Profile” on the Department’s website: https://dice.fldfs.com. When you get to the DFS website click on the words “Create Account” directly under the “Login” button.
Use the little down arrow to select “Your Account Type”

You will be selecting “Individual.”
You will need to provide the Department with your Social Security Number and Date of Birth.

The remainder of the “My Profile” process includes providing the state with your:
- Name
- Email Address
- Home Address
- Business Address***
- Mailing Address
- Phone Number
*** Use your Home Address if you don’t have an Insurance related Business Address.
Yeah!!! You have created your “My Profile”. Click “Continue” and you will be taken to the next screen to “Apply” for your License by clicking on “New Application”

If you need additional assistance the Department is always willing to help: (850) 413-3137
You are now in your “My Profile.”

Direct your attention to the right of your screen; you will see the word Apply.
Click on “New Application” listed under the “Apply” heading.

The remainder of the Application process is answering questions and paying the Department the Application Fee.

Schedule Your State Exam
Pearson Vue is the state of Florida’s proctor for all Insurance Licensing Exams. The online Registration with Pearson Vue is a little cumbersome. At this time we are recommending that you call Pearson Vue and have one of their Reservation Technicians walk you through the Exam Registration process. You will find that Pearson Vue staff is very friendly and staffed to assist in the scheduling of your Exam.

Call to schedule your License Exam.
For those of you that really want to try to Register for your State Exam without calling Pearson Vue… go to: www.pearsonvue.com

Click on “For test-takers,” then click “Schedule an exam” in the drop-down.
In the “Ready, set, test” box please type: Florida Department of Financial Services and then select Florida Department of Financial Services.

You are required to Create an account… please click on the Create account button on this page.

On this page you will enter your contact information and Create an Account with Pearson Vue

After your Account has been created you will see a screen like this one – click on the View Exams button.

On this page you will enter than Exam you need to take…click the BLUE button for Exam names – then click the GO button; when you get to the next page (after clicking GO) you will need to review that you are scheduling the correct Exam – then click the NEXT button in the bottom left corner of that page.
Click the BLUE button for Pearson Vue Exam Codes
This next page will ask you to “Provide additional information”; once done click the NEXT button in the bottom left corner.

On this page click the NEXT BUTTON to confirm your exam selection.

The Find a test center page allows you to place an address in the search bar and then select SEARCH.

We entered Longwood, FL and came up with the following options.
Magnification of Location We Want to Select
You must select the location you wish to schedule with… notice how we placed a check in the box for Seminole State College of Florida.

Then click the NEXT button in the bottom left corner of that page.

You are almost done… on the next page you will select first the Date and then the Time for your Exam…. the page will refresh and at last you are ready to pay for your Scheduled Exam. In the very bottom of the page you will see a Proceed to Checkout button… click that button and make the payment for your Scheduled Exam. Congratulations!!! Well done, you did it.

At the very top right corner of the IdentoGO website you will see a blue box…

Click on the “Get Fingerprinted” button.

Enter your Zip Code in the box above in this page on the IdentoGO website.
The IdentoGO website displays a map and locations for you to schedule your Fingerprinting Appointment.

On the page with the map you see the various locations for scheduling on the right side of the page.

When you click on the location of your choice that location opens up and you can schedule your Fingerprinting Appointment by clicking on the blue “Schedule Appointment” button.
