The purpose of this course is to better equip you in your professional activities as an Insurance Agent or Insurance Adjuster.
The purpose of this course is to provide you with the tools to better inform your customers about annuities and best practices in Annuity Suitability. This course will also equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess and determine the suitability of various annuity products for your clients. You will learn how to evaluate a client’s financial goals, risk tolerance, and overall retirement plan to make informed recommendations that align with their needs and objectives.
In the first Module we are going to discuss Understanding an Annuity. In the second Module we delve into the types of Annuities. In Module Three we discuss the Pros and Cons of an Annuity. In Module Four we look at annuitization and the examples of annuity payouts. In Module Five we are focusing on Annuity Taxation. The course will conclude with the NAIC Suitability and regulations focusing on Annuities. This course also includes an Appendix on the Time Value of Money. Please note that many of the concepts in the Appendix are “advanced”.
This course makes a few assumptions about you the student:
- You are a currently licensed Insurance Agent.
- You are interested in additional information, resources, and knowledge regarding the inner workings of Annuities and Suitability or Investments in general.
In insurance, as in all sales fields, the more familiar you are with a product, the more knowledgeable you can be in assisting you clients and ensuring their understanding of products so that they may make clear and concise decisions.
