The Law of Pleadings Self-Directed Study Course – CLAIMS ONLY

The purpose of this course is to better equip you in your professional activities as an Insurance Agent or Insurance Adjuster.

NOTE: THIS COURSE IS FOR ADJUSTERS. IF YOU ARE NOT AN ADJUSTER, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR TAKING THIS COURSE.

This course reviews the Law of Pleadings. Civil cases vary in nature, but they all have similar pleadings and motions. A pleading is the process of filing a document, while a motion is a request either party makes to a judge. In this course the student will study some of the most common pleadings and motions in any civil trial or case: complaint, answer, counterclaim, cross claim, pre trail motions, and post trial motions. We will also review the basic structure of pleadings. The course has numerous interesting and on-point case studies as underpinning of the legal doctrines studied.

What is a Self-Directed Study Course? With Self-Directed study you will study the course content at your pace (with no unit quizzes), and then you will take a non-proctored, open-book Final Exam. Simple as that. You can take the Final Exam as many times as you need to pass the course.
