Virginia State Licensing Requirements
- Be a natural person at least 18 years of age.
- Be a resident of the state of Pennsylvania.
- Be a United State citizen or legal alien.
- Pass appropriate licensing exam.
- Must be a Citizen of the U.S. or have proof of U.S. work authorization
- Must be fingerprinted by fieldprint for Virginia’s Bureau of Insurance
After passing your licensing exam, complete the insurance license application online through either:
Getting Fingerprinted
Fingerprinting is required for all applicants of a new resident producer license and must be done at an fieldprint enrollment center online or calling: (844) 321-2101.
***Be sure to use the FieldPrint Code for the Virgina Insurance Department: FPVABOICHRR
Fingerprints must be no older than 90 days for use with an application. Fingerprints once on file with the Virginia Bureau of Insurance are valid for one year.
